WHAT IS IPMAT?
IPMAT stands for Integrated Program in Management Aptitude Test. It is an entrance exam for admission into the five-year Integrated Program in Management (IPM) offered by IIMs (like IIM Indore and IIM Rohtak) and other top management institutes, after completing 12th grade. IIM Indore and IIM Rohtak are prominent institutions offering the IPM program and conducting IPMAT.
SPECIFIC ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
- Age: Candidates typically need to be born on or after a specific date (e.g., August 1, 2005, for IIM Indore). A relaxation of 5 years is usually given to candidates from SC/ST/PwD categories.
- Educational Qualification:
- Must have passed or be appearing for their Class 12/HSC or equivalent examination.
- Should have passed Class 10 with required percentage.
- Minimum Percentage:
- General/OBC/EWS: Minimum 60% marks in both Class 10 and 12.
- SC/ST/PwD/Transgender: Minimum 55% marks in both Class 10 and 12.
- Mathematics Requirement: Some institutions, like IIFT Kakinada, mandate Mathematics/Business Mathematics/Applied Mathematics as a subject in Class 12.
- Stream Neutral: It is not mandatory to have studied a specific stream (science, commerce, or arts) in Class 11 and 12.
- General Note: It's important to check the specific eligibility criteria for each institution conducting the IPMAT, as there might be slight variations.
