WHAT is AIIMS Nursing?
AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Sciences) offers two main undergraduate nursing programs:
B.Sc. Nursing (Hons.) – a 4‑year full-time degree.
B.Sc. Nursing (Post-Basic) – designed for in-service nurses (GNM diploma holders).
Admission is through a national, AIIMS-conducted entrance exam.
WHO CAN APPLY
For B.Sc. Nursing (Hons.): 10+2 pass with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English.
For Post‑Basic: GNM Diploma, plus 10+2 or equivalent, with State Nursing Council registration.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA :
B.Sc. Nursing (Hons.)
- Academic qualification:
55% (Gen/OBC), 50% (SC/ST) in Class 12 PCB+ English (Only female candidates can apply as per current AIIMS Notification, subject to change by AIIMS). - Age Limit:
Min 17 yrs by Dec 31, 2025; No upper age limit - Nationality:
Indian nationals (plus OCI accepted)
Post‑Basic B.Sc. Nursing
- Academic qualification:
10+2 or GNM Diploma + Any State Nursing Council registration (both males and females can apply).
Must be registered nurse and registered midwife (RNRM) with any State Nursing Council.
For Male Candidates:
- OT Techniques
- Ophthalmic Nursing
- Psychiatric Nursing
- Community Health Nursing
- Leprosy Nursing
- Age Limit:
Min 17 yrs by Dec 31, 2025; No upper age limit - Nationality:
Indian nationals (plus OCI accepted)
FEE STRUCTURE
AIIMS (all campuses): approx ₹1,500–₹2,500 annually (May vary)
